Who we are…

The Irish Guild of Hurley Makers (IGHM) is a collective of 32 individual hurley makers from across Ireland, brought together by a shared respect for the craft and the game.

Each member is an independent maker, rooted in their own tradition and community. Together, we represent the skill, knowledge, and integrity behind Irish-made hurleys.

Our Aims

• To uphold clear standards of quality and workmanship in Irish-made hurleys

• To support and represent hurley makers through cooperation and shared knowledge

• To promote sustainable timber sourcing and long-term solutions for the craft

By coming together as a Guild, hurley makers are better placed to protect the craft, support one another, and ensure the future of Irish hurley making remains strong.
